St. John’s serves the church, community, and world in the following ways:
Sunday School is offered to children ages three through sixth grade and is in session from Rally Sunday in September through May. Sunday school classes meet at 10:15 a.m. following our Sunday morning worship services. First Communion instruction is available to all children in fifth grade. Confirmation instruction is a two year program offered to all children in seventh and eight grades. Confirmation class meets each Wednesday beginning at 4:15 p.m.
Adult Bible Study is offered every Wednesday morning following Morning Prayer services at 9:30 a.m.
Quilting Group Our Quilting Group is active and meets on the third Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. Our Quilting Group makes warm and beautiful quilts and donates them to people in need in our community as well as charitable organizations throughout northeast Nebraska. Some quilts are donated beyond our local community through the Nebraska Synod Quilt Auction held annually at Camp Carol Joy Holling in Ashland, NE. We also have a prayer shawl ministry.
Food Pantry The Randolph Community Food Pantry is located at St. John’s and is staffed by volunteers from each of our three churches in Randolph. The Food Pantry serves people in need within the Randolph Public School district, and is open on the first and third Monday of each month from 5-7:00 p.m. or by appointment.
Women of the ELCA/Eve Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and gathers for prayer, Bible study, and planning ministry activities and support for the church and community.
Luther League is our youth group and all youth in grades seven through twelve are invited and encouraged to participate. Luther League meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. during the months of September through May, and serves the church and community in many ways, having fun and growing in faith as they do.
